To be more mobile or not to be?
I just reset my Alienware back to factory specifications. Now my thing is, do I buy a new battery for it so that it can be mobile again, or do I just leave it plugged in and leave it running upstairs?
—–Found a used battery on ebay for $60. Sold. Should be here by the end of next week. —-
No commentsWorld Trade Center
I am not sure why I did, but I popped in World Trade Center. Although it is a retelling of a portion of what happened that terrible day, the story is the same. The bravery shown in the face of disaster, inhuman acts of violence, they way we can pull together when the fit hit’s the shan. When stories like these are told it always tugs at my heart. Yeah yeah, I know, it’s a movie. It’s supposed to pull you in like that.
In my current job and last job I have seen the same thing on smaller scales, not all having happy endings. I know, or at least like to think that I know, that if it happens here I would be one of those rushing in to help those in need. When it gets tough, and you feel like you can’t go anymore just remember DON”T QUIT!

Wow, you gotta love how stupid kids can be sometimes. I mean, seriously, like this interesting tidbit I found on Engadget.com.
I mean, why do kids have to be so..uhhh…quick to rush into a final solution? You think he woulda opted for suicide or something.

today
I got all my stuff together for the Leave of Absence form I need to turn in to work. Damn this fractured arm. Good thing is that I am getting most of my mobility back in it. I can lift my arm perpendicular again right in front of me, but not higher. My strength in my arms has gone down some due to the inability to work them out and carry heavy items or swing stuff around. At least I am trying to get some cardio in to keep myself in more or less ready shape.

This is what the original fracture looked like the day I got it. By now it should look completely closed. I just have to let the bone get completely healed. Calcium supplements up the wazoo along with Amino Acids.

No commentsShoes!!!
OMG, shoes…I found some good shoes today at Shoe Pavilion. Giro shoes that were originally $129 were being sold for just &19.99! Got 4 pairs. Friggin awesome!
Sorry, I just had to share.
Plus, today I went with Jenni to 24 hour fitness to do some cardio work since I haven’t been able to work out for about a month and a half, escpecially since my arm had been fractured. Can’t lift anything, but I sure can do some running on the elliptical machine and biking as well on a stationary bike. Did about an hour total, 10 miles biking 3 miles elliptical. Feel much much better about myself now. Don’t feel like such a fat ass sitting at home just watching lots and lots of movies.

No commentsNew Ducati?
I’m not sure yet if this is exactly how it’s gonna look as far as the color scheme, but I did place a deposit at Munroe Motors for the 2008 Ducati 848 in a black/white color scheme. Supposedly should look something like this. What do you think? I can’t wait for it to get here, put on some nice pipes and ride away!

Kitty’s
My Mochi’s mom hangs around the naborhood sometimes, and today she was sleeping in my backyard. So I took a picture, then took some pictures of Mochi. They truly look very similar. Mochi is still cuter. Top pic is of mom, bottom of Mochi.

The things people do
So, Halloween morning comes along and I go outside to check on some stuff and find that someone had thrown one of my nabors rocks through the rear quarter window on my pickup truck. Why? I thought it was for some type of theft since they ripped the weatherstripping off, but heck, they didn’t take a damn thing! Not that there was much of anything to steal anyhow other than the radio. But that was left intact. So all that happens is that I have to pay to get a new window put in. Buttfucker.
Part of the adventure was me finding a place to do the replacement. I tried yellowpages.com but they sucked. I got over 40 results when I typed in “auto glass repair” and found that they just gave me listings for regular automotive places that don’t do glass, except for 3 places, but they were not even close to being local. I then did a google search and found a few places. The first place I called told me that they wanted $574.00 to do it. I was floored. I called another place and they said they could do it for $170.00!! It was a used one from the junk yard, but heck you can’t even tell.
I guess I’m just mostly annoyed that the asshole that broke the window didn’t even do it for any gain. The only gain was the auto place. Sigh.
