Today I completed a bike course so that I could be certified and do some ot gigs involving the bikes. We went and did some simple stuff that I had no idea how to do before, such as change a tire, mounting and dismounting the bike in different ways while the bike was moving, jumping curbs, etc. We finished off the day with a ride from the station to the Marina to Crissy Fields, then back to the station. There were some hills, but all in all I actually did better than I thought I would and completed the whole thing with only mild discomfort.

So the new district has a ton of bad drivers. I have been to more accidents in the month that I have been here than I did my whole time in training.

So far I guess I can’t complain too too much. It’s slower here than Ingleside, but there is still alot to learn.

On another note, Ramune turned 24 last weekend. Took her to a brunch at the Embassy Suites Hotel with her family and some friends. Good frickin brunch. I didn’t know what to get there was so much good stuff. I ended up with only a fifth of the available goodies.

I also finally broke my bike engine in. WEG. Waiting on the decals to come in the mail for my modifications. Pics to folow.

I finally got my transfer in. I got moved to Richmond Station. On Days. So far the most excitement I’ve gotten has been a call where someone thought their child had been electrocuted, but it turned out that he just had a seizure. Otherwise, a “suspicious vehicle” with a loose tank of gas which turned out to be a motorized scooter that was chained to a pole. Wow. Seriously. There is nothing going on. Although one of the other guys on his first night (he got onto midnights) had a foot pursuit and 3 resistors. Wow. I can’t believe he got that. So far no arrests, no big citations, nothing. It’s gonna be an eventful 11 months.

Ramune is sick, but I am taking care of her. Mochi is here trying to take care of her too. Bastard child…

I got my R6. I decided to buy it new, so it’s an ’08, black, and awesome. Just like the one that is pictured earlier here. Slipper clutch, fly by wire throttle, an exhaust that kicks ass…it’s fantastic!! The only changes I am looking forward to making are removing the passenger pegs, installing a rear seat cowl, removing all the turn signals and installing an integrated tail light in the back (duh) and flushies in the front. Mebbe some HID lights in the front with angel eyes or the demon eyes. I think that’s it. Yeah.

Between workin hard, stayin 2 nights in a row for 14 hour shifts…I have realized that I need to get out a bit more.

Monday: I rode to Laguna Seca for a preview of the MotoGP coming up. Basically the racers were testing the track, there were interviews, autographs, it was sweet! I could have taken the parade lap around the track, but I decided against it. I am still a bit nervous about doing that until I have a bit more experience in taking it faster (although I don’t think people were doing anything really fast that day)

Tuesday-Thursday: Work. 38 hours total, but tiring. Thursday night/Friday morning was interesting. There were a buttload of calls about gunfire. Some people say that they saw some kids running around. Some didn’t see anything. Some say that they heard 4-6 shots, others that they heard 20. But it kept happening all night. I was starting to think that either someone was fucking with us and setting off lots of fireworks over and over and over again, or that someone was goin nuts. Well on the last call, we found 5 cars had been shot, there were a bunch of bullet casings on both sides of the street. Running gun battle? Who knows.

Yesterday I saw “Wanted”. I liked it mostly…there was a moment where I just kinda lost it because of….well if you see it you will know. Remember Loooooooom of Faaaaaate…

Today is Wall-E. Woohoo.

So I went to Munroe Motors today and checked out the beautiful Ducati 848. It truly is a very sweet bike. I sadly decided to pass today on purchasing this particular one. Why? Well after I got all the numbers together and called my credit union, turns out the APR would be 6.25% and that would leave me with a monthly of $296. So as of now, I’ll be putting it off until tax time so I can see if I’m able to put a good down payment on it that would reduce my monthly to less than $200 like when I had the R6. Sigh….

I’m not as sad as I could be…I suppose that it is probably due to the fact that I’m still able to get it, just not yet. It’s not like I can ride right now at this time. Winter time is here, I hate riding in the winter…especially if it’s raining. I can’t afford to get injured again before I finish up FTO and probation.

I’m on my way into the City now via BART. Meeting up with Idiottool to head to Munroe and check out the Ducati. Since my bike is there now, I’m going to talk with the salesperson there and get the particulars on the costs and whatnot, and see if I’m picking this baby up this weekend or waiting until after I do my taxes in early February.

After that it’s off to get a drink, have some breakfast/lunch, and then who knows what’s gonna happen? Damnit, I forgot to bring my camera.

I got the call from Munroe Motors telling me that they have the 848′s in stock. I was going in tomorrow to see it and get a feel for it. They already asked me if I could pick it up on saturday!! I’m not sure if this is gonna be the right time, but we shall see what the numbers look like when I go down there. I may have to have it put off till next year, sometime around march. Mebbe..

OMG the worst movie ever!!!  I couldn’t believe that I tried to watch it in it’s entirety.  The only reason was to see how funny it would be to watch Ice-T and Coolio acting.
